Mathison & Hollidge (Pty) Ltd - sold to BJM

Stockbroking firm, Mathison & Hollidge (M&H), which was owned by SMG Holdings, was sold to Barnard Jacobs Mellet for R3.9m, after the brokerage accrued serious losses when some of the company's dealers too unauthorised positions in gilts. The total loss of these positions was around R12m.
