The mission of the Financial and Fiscal Commission is to act as an independent and impartial statutory institution and, therein, to fulfill its Constitutional obligation to give advice and make recommendations to Parliament, provincial legislatures, and other relevant authorities or organs of state, on matters affecting intergovernmental fiscal relations. In fulfilling this mission, the Commission is committed to acting in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa and national legislation.
